Summer learning programs expose students to healthy-living habits and nutrition, as well as, more standard school subjects.

Oakland’s elementary school youth took a Michelle Obama- and Alice Waters-inspired field trip. At the Old Oakland Farmers Market, students learned about healthy foods and healthy living, and broke out in a brief flash mob in solidarity with Mrs. Obama’s Let’s Move! program.
