Summer Matters Program Staff Conference

This FREE conference will give you the opportunity to redefine summer with activities that are meaningful, support mastery and expand horizons. The goal of the conference is to provide tools and resources empowering you to deliver the highest quality program possible.
The 2016 Summer Matters Program Staff Conference is designed for site coordinators, line staff, and teachers in summer programs. It will host various Bay Area presenters with topics including: Common Core State Standards Integration, Program Spirit, Including Older Youth, Making Learning Active, Teaching Strategies, Communicating with Families, and Social-Emotional Learning.
The conference is brought to you by the Summer Matters campaign and Cal SAC.
By the end of the conference you will be able to:
- Identify at least one element or practice of a high-quality summer learning program.
- Access tools and resources to improve your summer learning program.
- Describe the Cycle of Quality Improvement and explain that intentionality is essential to high-quality program design and delivery.
- Confirm the value of your relationships with students in summer learning programs.
