Announcing our Summer Matters Superheroes of 2016!
It has been an amazing year for summer learning. Superintendents and districts across the state having been taking up the mantle to ensure their students have access to high quality summer learning programs. Not only have superintendents invested district resources, but they have been encouraging their colleagues to do the same. With such momentum and so many people standing up for summer, we are awarding three superheroes this year. We are excited to announce the following three individuals as the 2016 Summer Matters Superheroes:
- Superintendent Richard Martinez, Pomona Unified School District
- Superintendent Dr. Deborah A. Flores, Gilroy Unified School District
- Superintendent William McCoy, Sausalito Marin City School District
Look for highlights about each of these superintendents and their work on summer learning on our website in the weeks to come.
